I receive hundreds of campaign emails a day, and therefore do not have time to reply to each individually. I will regularly post responses to campaign emails that I receive. 

The issues below are topics which I have often received many emails and letters from with regards to third-party campaigns. I will post my thoughts online, so please see my views below. 

 

Diana Johnson's Ten Minute Rule Bill

Thank you for your correspondence regarding Diana Johnson's Ten Minute Rule Bill.

Abortion is a highly sensitive issue, regardless of where your view lies and one where it is important that the matter is considered with due care and respect. As you know, the approach to abortion in the UK is set out in the Abortion Act 1967 and this remains unchanged.

This Ten Minute Rule Bill is not a substantive piece of legislation and cannot change the law, so you will be glad to hear that the Abortion Act 1967 has not changed.
